It Takes Courage

It takes courage to accept 100% responsibility for your life when you had no choice in being born or as Sartre famously said, 'We are condemned to freedom'.
It takes courage to stick your neck out and defend vulnerable and helpless people and other creatures when your livelihood is at stake.
It takes courage to be aware of your own mortality every day of your short life.
It takes courage to be authentic when your society has done everything in its power to make you conform to so-called 'role models'.
It takes courage to throw your job in when you have no other means of income but you hate what you are doing and you are going to go for what you love to do.
It takes courage to put yourself under observation and discover for yourself who you really are beyond your superficial social conditioning.
It takes
courage to trust people when you know how selfish people can be, including yourself.
It takes courage
to seek the truth no matter what the consequences.
It takes courage to stand outside your country and your
flag and be nobody.
It takes courage to laugh at yourself and see the ridiculous things you think and say
and react to.
It takes courage to love
unconditionally.
It takes courage to choose life over death when you hate your enemy and you hate yourself.
Hence the first step is the courage to go into the unknown and everything that makes
life worth living follows.
