The Space Of The
Possible
March 28th, 2010 by Gary Hipworth
The Space of the Possible represents the field of all possibilities in the world around us and in the world inside us too, not just now but for all time to come.
It also represents the context of our existence to emphasise that you or I don’t live in a vacuum but in a dynamic changing world system, where many things are theoretically possible, but for whatever reason, they have not been manifested at this time.
These ‘possibilities’ are still ‘waiting in the wings’ for someone or a whole lot of
people to make them ‘come alive’.
Here's a short list of some of the possibilities that are just waiting to happen, when the conditions and
passionate and dedicated people are also ready and committed to make them happen:
·
Peace and harmony on
earth between all races, nationalities, cultures and different kinds of people and our natural environment
·
No person ever goes
hungry or without basic survival needs
·
Every person is
productively employed in a job/ business or career that they love
·
All families and
people with disabilities have financial autonomy and equal choice of quality education, employment, and
accommodation in perpetuity
·
Every family sits
down together for a nutritious home-cooked meal at least 5 times per week
· All animals have fresh water, a healthy diet, a 'free-range' environment including sufficient space to exercise and the company of the animal's own kind, shelter and a comfortable resting area, rapid diagnosis and treatment of illness or disease, and are treated by their owners or handlers with kindness and respect at all times
OK, I admit that some or all of the above seem impossible at first glance but the goal is not perfection but striving towards seemingly impossible goals and then finding out what is really possible by inspiring each other to get outside our comfort zones and living life as an incredible adventure.
The common Enemy is actually within each human mind, not in the External
world. If we can conquer the Ego we are capable of anything.
But it's a big if.
